What are AI credits?
AI credits power the species identification features in CitizenClimate — animal ID, plant ID, insect ID, mushroom ID, crop health analysis, and bird sound recognition. Each identification uses one credit. Credits reset monthly and don't roll over. If your project doesn't use AI identification heavily, the included credits will be more than enough. For projects with intensive biodiversity monitoring needs, additional credits can be purchased separately.

Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any point. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your billing cycle.

Is there a long-term contract?
No. Monthly plans have no minimum term. Annual plans are paid upfront and are non-refundable but include a 10% discount.

What does "community member" mean?
A community member is any individual registered in your CitizenClimate project who can submit surveys. Project managers, administrators, and verification staff don't count toward your limit.

Can multiple projects share one account?
Growth and Scale plans support multi-project management within a single account. Pro accounts are single-project. Free accounts are single-project.

Is my data secure?
CitizenClimate runs on Google Firebase infrastructure — Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication, and Cloud Functions. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No survey data is ever deleted. All records are timestamped and immutable, which is a requirement for carbon verification audit trails.

Can VVBs access my data directly?
Yes. Verification bodies can be granted direct read access to your project data. They don't need to rely on reports you generate — they see the raw records, timestamps, and GPS data themselves.
